展览倒计时 | 胡介鸣《14天》

2020年8月15日－10月15日外交公寓12号空间将呈现艺术家胡介鸣的创作计划“14天”。在展览开幕前的14天胡介鸣入住外交公寓12号，在空间中生活、创作14天。由此产生的作品以及日常记录文本为14天计划的最终成果。艺术家在14天期间足不出户，饮食起居等日常生活均在公寓空间内，创作计划灵感来自这14天封闭的生活，创作过程也在公寓空间内进行。14天内，艺术家在与室内生活空间、物品的交流中获得灵感、产生作品。作品将呈现艺术家与外交公寓这个具有特别历史和现实定义的空间、时光、物品对话、共存的结果。14天的封闭式的固定的无人介入的安全生活和工作模式使眼前的空间变成唯一的世界。艺术家观看和交往选择的对象是非常有限的，是重复的甚至是无聊的。重复观看和体验或许使人专注和冥想成为可能，由此带来的经验是复杂的和难以预料的。在这个计划的实施过程中艺术家将看到在行动范围被严格限定的情况下是否有回旋余地，可能产生什么样的想象和表达，这也是这一计划试图尝试的一个方面。

胡介鸣，生活工作在上海。从事新媒体、影像装置、摄影艺术作品的创作并参与展览，如：010101：技术时代的艺术，旧金山现代艺术博物馆，2001；生活在此时，汉堡火车站美术馆，柏林，2001；首届广州当代艺术三年展——重新解读：中国实验艺术十年 1990-2000（广东美术馆，2002）；在过去和将来之间：中国新摄影和录像（国际摄影中心，纽约，2004）；他使用交互媒体的方式进行艺术创作，参加影像生存：第五届上海双年展（上海美术馆，2004）、重新发电——第九届上海双年展（PSA，2012）等展览。于2003年在比翼艺术中心（上海）举办名为《与你有关》的交互媒体艺术个展，2004年在布鲁塞尔MAAC HHKK举办《胡介鸣交互艺术展》,参加在中国美术馆举办的《聚焦》中国当代摄影与录像展；06年参加《13：中国当代录像》（纽约P.S.1当代艺术中心）；《中国当代》（Boijmans Van Beuningen博物馆，鹿特丹）；2006 ISEA和01圣·何塞：全球边缘艺术节；代码：蓝色——第三届北京国际新媒体艺术展暨论坛；DEAF07荷兰电子艺术展（V2_ , 鹿特丹）；齐物等观——国际新媒体艺术三年展（中国美术馆, 北京，2014）；釜山双年展（釜山，韩国，2016）；移动中的艺术：100件媒体艺术名作（ZKM 媒体艺术博物馆， 卡尔斯鲁厄，德国，2018）；中国当代艺术年鉴展（北京民生美术馆，2018）等等。

From August 15 to October 15, 2020, DRC No. 12 will present the artist Hu Jieming’s project 14 Days. For this project, Hu Jieming will move into DRC No. 12 before the exhibition to live and work for 14 days. The resulting artworks, notes, diaries and documentations are conceived as a single final product of the project. During the 14 days, the artist is voluntarily locked in the apartment, and all daily life activities are strictly confined within the space. The inspiration for the artworks is drawn from the artist’s life during the isolation and the work process takes place solely inside the apartment; the interactions between the artist, the enclosed living space and objects in the space inspire the works to take shape, in the meanwhile, the project as a whole aims to manifest a co-existential condition of the artist and the space, time and things of DRC No. 12, a place full of specific meanings from the past and present. In this rigid and uninterrupted ‘safety mode’ of life and work in quarantine, the space itself becomes the only world in which objects of visual perception and exchange are limited, even repetitive and boring. Monotonous visuality and impoverished sensory experiences may generate a possibility for concentration and contemplation, and prompt complex and unforeseen experience. In the process, the project also attempts to explore the possibility of space for maneuvering, varied forms of imagination and expression when one’s range of activity is so stringently controlled. 

Hu Jie Ming lives and works Shanghai China. He makes video installation, photo, media art works and participates in many exhibitions, such as 010101: Art In Technological Times (San Francisco Museum Of Modern Art, 2001); Live In Time (Nationalglerie Im Hamburger Bahnhof Museum Fur Gegenwart-Berlin, 2001); The first Guang Zhou Triennial, Reinterpretation: A Decade of Experimental Chinese Art 1990-2000 (Guang Dong Art Museum, Guang Zhou, 2002); Between Past and Future: New Photography and Video from China (International Center of Photography New York, 2004), He made works by interactive media to participated in Techniques of the Visible 5th Shanghai Biennial (Shanghai Art Museum 2004) 9th Shanghai Biennale, Reactivation, Power Station of Art, Shanghai（2012）etc. He held his solo exhibitions special for interactive art works, Connected to You, in Bizart Shanghai in 2003 and Hu Jie Ming Interactive Art, in MAAC HHKK Brussels in 2004 and participated in Zooming into Focus Chinese Contemporary photo & video exhibition at China National Art Museum; The Thirteen: Chinese Video Now P.S, 1 Contemporary Art Center NY, China Contemporary, Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen, Rotterdam; Zero One San Jose: A Global Festival of Art on the Edge and the ISEA 2006 Symposium; Code: Blue 3rd — Beijing International New Media Arts Exhibition & Symposium; DEAF07 (V2_, Rotterdam); Participated in Thingworld — International Triennial of New Media Art（National Art Museum of China, 2014）;  Busan Biennale（Busan, Korea, 2016）; Art in Motion. 100 Masterpieces with and through Media(ZKM, Germany, 2018); The Exhibition of Annual of Contemporary Art of China 2018 Min Sheng Art Museum Beijing  etc.
